Q) Is there any scholarship offered for international students?

Kyung Hee University offers scholarships depending on the admission evaluation or Korean Language proficiency level.
Please refer to the admission guideline for more detailed information.

Q) Does the certificate of deposit balance have to be under the applicant’s name?

It has to be under the applicant or one of the parent’s name, and the deposit balance should be more than USD 20,000.

Q) Can I submit the required documents online?

Unfortunately, applicants must submit the documents in person or via post during the designated time period.

Q) Will applicants need IELTS or TOEFL score?

Because all of the courses in the department of Hospitality Management(English Track_Seoul Campus), Management(English Track_Seoul Campus), and International Studies(Global Campus) are taught fully in English. Therefore, applicants for those departments must submit English Proficiency Test Score. Applicants must have English Proficiency Test Score higher than followings, 
- TOEFL iBT 71 (CBT 197, PBT 530)
- IELTS 5.5
- TEPS 600

(Exception applies to those student from countries where English is an official language) 

Q) Will all courses be taught in English?

Courses within the department of Management(English Track-Seoul Campus), Hospitality Management(English Track-Seoul Campus), and International Studies (Global Campus) will be taught in English. However, other departments offer all courses in Korean, so students should be proficient in Korean.

Q) Will the applicant have to be in Korea when applying?

Application process is online. However, the applicant who passed the document screening process must also attend the Korean language test and interview in person. (For second intake, we offer online interview for those who are not staying in Korea.)

Q) Are applicants with green card or citizenship to other countries eligible to apply?

Applicants for international student admission will have to have held the citizenship of countries other than Korea for more than 2 years in order to be eligible to apply. His/ her parents must hold the citizenship to that country as well. (Green card holders are not eligible to apply)

Q) If the applicant’s parents are divorced or dead, how will I prepared the document to prove the family relationship?

International students must prepare official documents to prove the family relationship. They may prepare birth, certificate and divorce (or death) certificate, along with the certificate of Family Relationships.

Q) Can applicants apply to Medical School?

International students are not eligible to apply for medical or pharmaceutical school in Seoul Campus.

Q) What kind of documents should applicants prepare?

Applicants must prepare documents to prove their and their parents’ nationality, high school diploma, and high school transcript. Please refer to the admission guideline for more detailed information.
