Procedure

Apply for the exchange student program at your university's International Office
Complete the Kyung Hee University(KHU) Exchange Student Online Application
Submit all required documents to the Office of International Affairs at KHU
Obtain your visa at the nearest Korean Embassy (Visa Approval Code will be provided to you)
Book your flight and get ready for Korea Pre-arrival Checklist
Study at KHU
Your official transcript from KHU will be sent to your home university
Your university transfers credits earned from KHU into your home university credits

Required Documents: Online Application; Color-scanned Passport; Certificate of Enrollment; Official Transcript in English; Medical Assessment Form; Tuberculosis Test Result; 1 Passport Photo; Recommendation Letter; Bank Statement; Dormitory Application; Dormitory Consent Form

+ 2 weeks of exams (mid-term, final)
= Total : 16 weeks

Check-list before coming to KHU

Checklist for Incoming Exchange Students

I have applied for D-2 Student Visa from the Korean Embassy or Consulate in my country
* For the countries with no Korean Embassy, please refer to visa concerning visa issues
I have purchased medical insurance for my stay in Korea
I have completed my course registration online
I have submitted my dormitory application and am aware of the dormitory check-in date
* Only for those who applied for the dormitory
I have booked my flight so that I may arrive in Korea before orientation
I am aware about the Korean Language Level Test
* Only for those who will take courses for the Department of Korean
I have discussed with my university on which courses to take in Kyung Hee
I have got in contact with my “buddy” and informed him/her about my flight itinerary for airport pick-up

Grades and Transcripts

Grading is based on attendance, class discussion, homework, and examinations KHU regulations require a minimum of 70% attendance to receive academic credit
